Bamboo is woven into fine Italian leather to make the most distinctive gift or souvenir. This design is iconic and has a piece of Taiwan literally in every piece we make. Also, comes in a color custom gift box with a bamboo motif. Use it as a keychain or purse or backpack charm.
Our bamboo leather keychains are hand-cut from firm natural-colored veg-tanned leather. The piece is made from 2 separate pieces of leather and we weave bamboo into the top layer. The bamboo we use is from the mystical mountains of Taiwan. Here only these specific varieties that produce uniform color, straight and strong bamboo can be grown in Taiwan. We then prepare each piece and hand-cut the cured bamboo and then we weave it into the leather. This is what we term bamboo woven leather. Our methods are the only ones in the world to weave these 2 distinct materials together to produce a structured and firm final product.
